Assignment Description

This assessment is designed to assess your advanced research and analytical skills. In this assessment, you will conduct an in-depth research analysis and produce a comprehensive report for a client's IT problem. You are required to critically evaluate and recommend multi-disciplinary IT solutions to address the client's problem. The assessment will require you to demonstrate a high level of proficiency in integrating concepts, theories, and frameworks from different disciplines to support your recommendations.

Instructions

Students must conduct research externally and included references in order to produce a well referenced assessment. You should use at least ten (10) sources of information and reference these in accordance with the Kaplan Harvard Referencing Style. These may include websites, social media sites, industry reports, census data, journal articles, and newspaper articles. These references should be presented as in-text citations and a referencing list at the end of your assessment (not included in the word limit). Wikipedia and other ‘popular’ sites are not to be used.

2. The report should be well-structured and organised. It should include the following details:

a) Client Background:

i) Familiarise yourself with the client's organisation, industry, and context, demonstrating a deep understanding of their IT problem and its significance.

ii) Analyse the client's goals, objectives, and any constraints that may influence the proposed solutions, taking into account complex organizational and environmental factors.

b) Research Methodology:

i) Develop a robust research methodology that encompasses advanced data collection and analysis techniques suitable for the client's IT problem.

ii) Justify your chosen methodology by critically evaluating its suitability and explaining how it aligns with the research objectives and the complexity of the problem.

c) Findings and Analysis:

i) Present your research findings in a clear, concise, and sophisticated manner, utilising appropriate data analysis techniques and tools.

ii) Conduct an in-depth analysis of the data and provide deep insights into the causes and potential solutions for the client's complex IT problem.

d) Multi-disciplinary IT Solutions:

i) Recommend advanced multi-disciplinary IT solutions that effectively address the complex and interconnected aspects of the client's IT problem.

ii) Justify your proposed solutions by integrating advanced concepts, theories, and frameworks from different disciplines, demonstrating a deep understanding of their relevance and application.

e) Critical Evaluation and Feasibility:

i) Critically evaluate the effectiveness and feasibility of the recommended multi-disciplinary IT solutions, taking into account complex organisational, technological, ethical, and social considerations.

ii) Demonstrate a high level of critical thinking, creativity, and innovation in evaluating the potential impact and risks associated with the proposed solutions.

f) Conclusion:

i) Summarise the main research findings and their implications for addressing the client's complex IT problem, demonstrating a nuanced understanding of the challenges and opportunities.

ii) Clearly articulate the conclusions drawn from the research outcomes, highlighting the strengths, limitations, and potential areas for future investigation.

1. Client Background

a) Company background and IT Problem and Significance

The Organisation selected is GlobalTech Industries, the Organisation is a multinational technology solutions which aims at offering best technological solutions. The company has drive the success through its forward thinking and diverse product portfolio. The company was founded in 1985 and has its headquarter in Silicon Valley, the company currently employs 45,000 employees globally. The fact that it finds itself in various sectors such as healthcare, transportation and telecommunications, indicates its commitment to innovation and technological competence (Poudel, 2022). IT issues are so huge within the organization especially outdated legacy systems that hamper any efficient processing and integration of data. Various verticals across the world have adopted independent IT infrastructures, leading to data silos that hinder holistic management of data. Additionally, a constantly changing environment regarding international data handling regulations generates risks of compliance that demand careful treatment.

b) Goals, Objectives, and Constraints
